1 ACT Driving Schools Onsite Road Testing Qualifications & Requirements
Any student can take their Road Test at 1ACT Driving Schools. However, depending on Age, the student must meet the following Georgia qualifications.
Students Under 18
16 Year Olds
MUST have a valid Georgia Driver's permit OR, out-of-state permit for AT LEAST 1 year and 1 day.
Must have completed the GA DDS-approved 30-HR Driver’s Education Course with us, another certified school, or online self-paced.
Must have completed a minimum of 6-HR Behind the Wheel driving lessons with 1 ACT ONLY. (cannot accept lessons from another school).
17 Year Olds
MUST have a valid Georgia Driver's permit OR, out-of-state permit for AT LEAST 1 year and 1 day.
Must have completed the GA DDS approved 30-HR Driver’s Education Course with us, another certified school, or online self-paced.
Must have completed a minimum of 6-HR Behind the Wheel driving lessons with us OR another certified school (must provide 6-hr certificate).

Who conducts the road test at 1Act?
A certified driving instructor that is also certified as a third party tester is the person who conducts the road test.
Where does the on-site road test take place?
We currently have two certified testing locations which are the Lawrenceville office and Alpharetta office.
What is the benefit of taking a road test with 1Act?
There are a couple benefits of taking your road test with 1Act such as sooner appointments, no wait time, use of our vehicle, and instructed by a well experienced driving instructor/examiner.
What are the requirements to test and how can I schedule an appointment?
